Khulna University of Engineering and Technology: Where Nature and Education Meet.
When you hear the word university, you can imagine walking around the classroom with a notebook and a pen, hanging out in a tea shop day and night, and walking around the campus. Those of us who are in university know that the above part is partly fictional, it is only 100% true in movies.

When you hear the word university, you can imagine walking around the classroom with a notebook and a pen, hanging out in a tea shop day and night, and walking around the campus. Those of us who are in university know that the above part is partly fictional, it is only 100% true in movies. However, university means more than just studying, university life is different. In those four years of life, those who have not come and those who have passed both want to get this life equally. There are currently 37 uniquely beautiful public universities in Bangladesh, of which only four are engineering universities. Today I will talk about one of the four universities full of beauty, the name of the university is Khulna University of Engineering and Technology. KUET in short.History and Beauty Of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology
KUET is one of the leading engineering universities in Bangladesh. Khulna Engineering College was established in 1966 during the Pakistan period. In 1984, the name of this university was changed to BIT, Khulna. Many years have passed since then. Finally, on September 1, 2003, the three engineering universities of Khulna, Rajshahi, and Chittagong were simultaneously renamed KUET, RUET, CUET. From then on, the path of modern Kuet started, the origin of which is very ancient. If you step on Jessore Road from the main city of Khulna, after about 14 kilometers, you will see the first huge billboard of Kuet in Phulbari. From Phulbari Gate, take the road on the left-hand side and you will see KUET. According to public opinion, most people fall in love at the first sight of the huge main gate of KUET.The signature of the visual installation using engineering knowledge will be visible as soon as you enter Kuet. Entering through the main gate may seem a little more surprising. Looking at the large white "KUET" inscription on a small hill on the left side of the road reminds me of the Hollywood inscription on a hill in the United States. Upon entering Kuet, you will realize that you are entering a beautiful campus. This main road in Kuet is spread all over KUET. A little further along the road, you will see a brand new Shaheed Minar on the right-hand side which is the second-largest Shaheed Minar in Bangladesh. The Shaheed Minar was inaugurated on February 21 this year. There is an artificial lake just behind this Shaheed Minar, which is established with lots of stairs and huge space. The Shaheed Minar has been constructed in such a way that its full reflection can be seen in the water of the lake. There is also a brick road by the side of the lake if you want you can spend a lazy afternoon walking by the side of the lake.

Just opposite the Shaheed Minar is the Khan Jahan Ali Hall, one of the oldest student halls in Kuet. This hall is the first place you will meet when you enter the university campus. Behind the hall is a huge pond whose local name is "Khajar Pond". When life is almost unbearable in the heat of the sun, this Khajar pond is the only address for the students here. The KUET Central Field is just opposite the Khazar Pond. If you sit in one corner of this big field, usually no one will notice. As well as being the main venue for all the big and small games on campus, this central ground is also a great place to hang out for hours on end. Stepping from the field to the main campus, you can see another new facility, the Kuwait Students Welfare Center. SWC for short. There is a huge language movement in this SWC which is made entirely of terracotta. If you look at this huge wall, you will easily remember the words '52.Although not everyone has access to this modern building, there is an open stage just behind it where a large stage has been built. This stage has been shaken repeatedly in all the cultural events of Kuet lately. Inside this building is the newest university swimming pool in Bangladesh which has not been inaugurated yet. As soon as he leaves SWC, the renovated Kuwait Auditorium will come to the fore. It is expected to be one of the most modern auditoriums in Bangladesh. A two-step walk from the auditorium you will see a beautiful sculpture called "Durbar Bangla" located in the very center of KUET. People who come to visit the campus in the afternoon like this Durbar Bangla very much and feel comfortable sitting and chatting on the stones arranged in a circle under it.
From the roof of Kuets central academic building, the whole of Kuet looks and works differently. Right next to this academic building, right in front of the science building, is the most beautiful place in Kuet, "Padma Pond". Green trees all around, a little red brick road in the middle and a small green field on one side and the lotus flowers floating in the clear water of the pond on the other side can take away anyone's mind. The beauty of this whole area of Padma Pond is different. If you look at the road on the way out of Padmapukur and in front of the Mechanical Engineering Department, you will see the largest three-dimensional alpana in Bangladesh which is made by the students here. These huge gaps will be more noticeable as University Day approaches September 1 and during the admission test in Kuet. As far as I know, only the students here welcome the admission test-takers in another image by drawing Alpana.
If you go further into Kuet along the road in front of the Mechanical Engineering Department, you will be fascinated by all the huge greenery and the clean road without any question. The size of the Kuet campus is not very large, only 101 units on this campus, the total number of departments is 14, the total number of halls is 6. In front of each hall, there is its food shop or canteen. So no one who comes to visit has to go out of campus for food. The mosque on campus is also quite beautiful. The beauty of this sacred place in the morning cannot be expressed in words. When the gap in the dome melts and the sun rises, an unearthly moment is created. At night, Pocket Gate is located right next to the campus, the main hangout for students. This pocket gate is the heart of all Kuetians, past, and present.
The chat that erupted from the tea in the tong shop ended at a table in a rice hotel here. The food here is also quite cheap. Lunch can be eaten very well for 50-60 rupees. KUET has a good reputation among the engineering universities of Bangladesh in terms of quality and beauty. But the real beauty of Kuet is not the day, but the night. It is really difficult to find people who have stayed in Kuet for one night but have not fallen in love with KUET at night. The quiet of the day is much different from the quiet of the night and much more beautiful. A wonderful experience with colorful lighting and cleanliness all-around can be found when you go out to visit Kuet at night.
