Biman Bangladesh has been fully owned and operated by the government of Bangladesh up until 23rd July 2007, after which is has been modified into the country’s biggest public limited company by the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh, with their headquarters in Balaka Bhaban, Kurmitola, Dhaka.

Destination:   Hazrat Shahjalal International airport is its main hub, with secondary hubs being in Chittagong, Shah Amanat International Airport and in Sylhet, Osmani International Airport. Biman Bangladesh provides services both around Asia and Europe, and serves as a major domestic airlines inside Bangladesh. Biman Bangladesh serves 16 international destinations and 7 domestic cities. Right after the independence war ended, this airline for its first flight went to Chittagong with a DC-3 aircraft on 4th January 1972. Food Menu: The food served in both business class and economy class are the same. They prepare  a scrumptious and exquisite meal catered by Biman Flight Catering Centre (BFCC).  

Breakfast:For breakfast they offer a selection of fresh fruit juice, soda, cheese omelet, sautéed mushroom, croissant, fresh roll, butter, jam in addition to tea and coffee.  

Lunch:Garden Salad combined with seasonal vegetables. Main Course consists of Chicken curry with pulao, sautéed seasonal vegetables, garnished with lemon and green chili. Dessert includes rice pudding.  

Dinner: The salad is made up of seasonal fruits. Main course consists of Lamb curry with pulao, sautéed seasonal vegetables. Cabin Experience: Economy class:The seats are comfortable with a pillow. Blankets can be requested for. The seating arrangement depends on the aircraft travelling in.

Lost Baggage: Biman Bangladesh airlines aims to ensure that all baggage reach their destination safe and securely. In the event of a bag being lost, customers are requested to immediately contact the Biman Bangladesh personnel at the arrival station. They will be asked to give their contact details, and when the bag has been located the Biman Bangladesh personnel will either notify the customer to come and collect the bag or they will safely deliver the bag to the given address.
