Bandarban: One day with mountains and clouds
Once upon a time, monkeys lived in this area. At the entrance of the city, a group of monkeys used to cross the rhyme water and come to eat salt from the hills. They used to cross the water holding each other's hands while returning to the hill after the rising water level.

Once upon a time, monkeys lived in this area. At the entrance of the city, a group of monkeys used to cross the rhyme water and come to eat salt from the hills. They used to cross the water holding each other's hands while returning to the hill after the rising water level. It looked a lot like a dam. From there, Bandarban became popularly known as this region. To enjoy the natural beauty of Bandarban, you have to have at least five-six days in hand. It is not possible to visit Bandarban in just a couple of days.Bandarban Hill District is home to many more places of interest including Meghla, Nilachal, Nafakhum, Devtakhum, Keokradong, Dim Pahar, Swarnamandir, Thanchi, Chimbuk, Bagalek, Shailprapat, Tindu, Marayan Tung, Nilgiri. Our four brothers went from Chittagong. Purbani leaves Chittagong bus terminal at 6.10 am and Purbi leaves at 6.30 am for Bandarban. It will take less than two hours to get to the first car in the morning. After Keranihat, development work was going on in at least 10-12 places on the way to Bandarban and it took us two hours to reach the Bandarban bus stand. From there you can take the moon car or Mahindra to Nilgiris. Since we went for a day, it was important for us to keep in mind the timing. Mahindra was hired for the whole day.
Four people are sitting effortlessly in the back and one in the front. There is a risk of two people sitting in the front on a hilly road, but if there is a budget crisis, two people can also sit in the front. Rented at 2900 BDT at the end of the day, although it is possible to go to 2500. We didn't do much. Our first journey from the Bandarban bus stand was to Nilgiri. The distance is 48 kilometers. Thanchi and Ruma have to go by the same road. We have to find the address of Bagalek along Rumara Road. There will be two checkposts on the way to Nilgiris. Once at the police checkpost in Milonchari and another time at the army checkpost before Sayur, they have to give all their names and addresses. You must bring your national identity card with you to Bandarban. No illegal objects, especially drugs, can be traveled.

The combination of sky and clouds at the Milanchari checkpost will make you emotional. The view of the mountains covered with white clouds is bound to fascinate you. Be sure to capture these scenes on camera, though thousand times more beautiful with the naked eye than with the camera. Seen from a distance, it would seem that a painter has painted the game of clouds in the mountains with his paintbrush. The creation of the Creator is wonderfully captured there. After a police check from Milonchhari, the car started moving again. After an army check-in Sairu, I volunteered once more in the middle of the street for my photoshoot. There are hills on both sides of the road, innumerable banana trees are cultivated in the hills. There is a huge road after Sairu Hill Resort, no resort or settlement. The whole area is buzzing. Along the way, hardworking hill people are seen standing on one side of the road, while cars pass them. Many cultivate in the hills, so they can be seen with da-kodal. There is nothing to be afraid of. Chander's car sped off on a one-lane road. As you pass your car it will move so fast, it will feel like this realization pushed you down the hill. The dazzling soft green scenery two to two and a half thousand feet below the hilly road will add a different joy to your trip.
Nilgiri is 48 km away from Bandarban city. It takes more than two hours to get there. After cutting the ticket and reaching the main spot of Nilgiris, you will feel that there are two thousand feet in the middle of the mountains and clouds standing in the way to create regret for your journey. In the Nilgiris, after 11 o'clock, the clouds began to fly like fog before our eyes. The body will feel as it passes, going through the feeling of light shivering. You will want to bring a piece of cloud in your hand or your pocket. It is very natural to be interested in swimming on a cloud raft in the mountains. However, these clouds can only be seen and felt. You should go to Bandarban to witness a very transparent environment. On the way from Nilgiris to Chimbuk, you must take some pictures while sitting on the seats made on Sita hill - to make sure that you are a few thousand feet above sea level.
The distance from Nilgiri to Chimbuk hill is 20 km. Everyone had traveled to Chimbuk hill before but we went to Nilgiris first. Because the main goal of our one-day trip was to visit Nilgiris. However, as we climbed Chimbuk hill, the whole area was covered with clouds. Many people may be mistaken for fog in videos or pictures. The drizzle started as the clouds were very close to the border. Even if it works a bit scary in the middle of this rain, after a couple of minutes you will start to enjoy it. That is exactly what happened to us. Our journey from Chimbuk hill is again towards the city. It was about two o'clock in the afternoon. It will be around 3:30 to reach the city. Although there is a cliff on the way, there is nothing to see in it now. In winter this waterfall is waterless.

On the way back to the city, everyone was tired. I was relaxing a little bit. Clouds were our companions throughout the road. Our car was moving through the clouds. After reaching the city, our journey is towards the Golden Temple. Location of Sangu river on the way. Water was probably scarce due to winter. It is forbidden to enter the Golden Temple wearing shoes and shorts. Although the name is Golden Temple, there is not a single speck of gold in any of the statues or installations. There are innumerable Buddha statues there. Each of the planets in the solar system was given a different name. One of the attractions was this golden temple without gold
No one but the priest has access to the original idol. Visitors are not allowed to take video even though they are allowed to take stills of the statue. Although there was some information to be known, the monks did not say anything, probably because of the ban. They were showing disinterest in answering every question. However, the view of the city from the top of the temple was quite spectacular. Chholamuri was organized on the street at Balaghata in Bandarban. We are all fans of this chholamuri, so we could not stay without eating. The city of Bandarban is very much in the style of mooseball. It was as if I had gone back to my childhood. From there I returned to the bus stand at 7.30 pm on the last bus with four tickets and left for Nilachal. The time on hand is still more than an hour and a half. Nilachal is located only four to five kilometers from the city, at an altitude of 1600-1800 feet above sea level. We reach there 15-20 minutes before Maghrib Azan. Just before dusk, Nilachal was completely dark with clouds. The position of the clouds was so dense that the distant nature of Nilachal could not be seen with the naked eye. As far as the distant sky of Nilachal could be seen, it seemed as if the clouds were waking up anew like a dormant volcano. All in all, our tour ended at least 40 minutes before the scheduled time. The hospitality of Mahindra driver Abdul Karim Bhai was extraordinary. He is a great man.
He gave tea to all of us at the Bandarban bus stand after returning from Nilachal. There was still half an hour left to leave the bus. We had no choice but to sit on the tired body. By then heavy rain had started in Bandarban town. The roads were wet and unsuitable for highway travel. So it took us three hours to reach Chittagong alone in the rain and traffic jam. At the end of the day, there was a feeling - after a long time, breathing in a transparent environment, like getting rid of a long period of physical and mental exhaustion. So it is important to travel at least a few times a year. Without travel, you cannot awaken your inner being. You can't sharpen your vision and intellect. The more you walk around, the stronger your confidence will be.
