Short Description

Alutila Guha or Alutila Cave is a natural engrossing cave in Khagrachari. It is about 7 kilometres away from Matiranga Upazilla. It is found in Alutila or Arbari hill which is about 3000ft in comparison with sea level. To the locals, it is known is Matai Hakor or Devotar Guha. There is found no source of light except the fiery and flared wooden torch hold by you as the cave is found so dark and cold.

 

The lower part of the cave is slippy and stony and it looks like a tunnel which is about 350ft at length. You should crawl sometime while moving through the cave. It takes about 10-15 minutes to enter and exit from the cave.The main attraction here for the tourists is it's illusionary tunnel that is located at the bottom of the cave. The walls of the cave is mixed of stony and rocky soils.

The entry mouth of the cave is about 18 feet wide. You should buy a ticket at first and then a wooden torch to go to see this cave and after crossing the main gate and  then walking a little distantance, you will find this likeable cave. Don't forget to leave the slippery sandals or shoes while adventuring through the hills. For adventures people it is a spot must to be seen.

As the spot is located at Khagrachari Sadar Upazilla, just 8 kilometers away from the town, your troubles to travel there will be less. You can reach to Alutila guha by a CNG, local bus, Chander Gari or private car directly.
