The festival mainly remains for three days but it may last long according to the preferences of the people. Different types of music and dance are performed by the performers in the cultural program. This kind of fair is being arranged in the different villages of the country due to the occasion of winter. People of every age are seen to be visiting this fair. Rural cultural thing is displayed over here by the vendors of the shop. One of the important festivals for the Christian people is Christmas Day. It is the birth occasion of Jesus Christ that is celebrated by the Christian community with much enthusiasm and honor.
They make different types of food and offer greetings to each other. They visit the church and offer their prayer with their friends and family. One of the enjoyable days for the people on the 31st night. On the evening of the 31st December, people arrange a BBQ party on the occasion of the commencement of the New Year. These types of the party are mainly seen on the rooftop. The young people make arrangements for the music and enjoyed the whole time singing and dancing with their friends and family. Another much-enjoyed festival is the Shakrain or the kite festival that is being arranged in the Old Dhaka on the rooftop by the young people. Different types of colorful kites are being flown in the sky from the morning to the afternoon with much enthusiasm and a cheerful environment prevails over there.
At the night the people of this area play music and dance besides enjoying different types of delicious foods. The book fair is also one of the crucial fairs that are held during the winter season. This fair is very much important for the people of Bangladesh because it has a significant role in holding the honor and sacrifice of the language martyrs. So these programs and festivals are being arranged during the winter season and the people can easily visit these places to enjoy their vacation and create some unforgettable memories.
