The University of Barisal: A University That Contains All The Forms Of Nature

The University of Barisal or BU is a public university established in Barisal, a town in southern Bangladesh. This is the only authentic public university in the Barisal division, and this is also the thirty-third public university in the country. It was founded in 2011 and started on 25 January 2012 with educational programs.

It was founded in 2011 and started on 25 January 2012 with educational programs. The university offers undergraduate-level degrees. There are eighteen departments of teaching in six faculties in a lower place.

BU is located in the Barisal district of the lower Barisal Division. It is situated on the Japanese bank of the Kirtonkhola watercourse at Karnakathi, and beside Barisal-Patuakhali road, about a mile from either the center of the city of Barisal. Next to the Barisal Zilla school, the university has a town area.

History of University of Barisal

Before Bangladesh's independence, the desire for a university was first generated in 1960. In 1973, then Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman announced that he was required to set up a university in Barisal at intervals during the city's rally management. President Ziaur Rahman made a similar comment at a rally in Barisal Circuit House regarding the establishment of a university in Barisalon solar calendar month twenty 3, 1978. A declaration for the establishment of the university was also established in the 1990s by former President Abdur Rahman Biswas.

After three decades, despite a strong demand from us by Barisal, the idea was adopted by the then Caretaker Government at ECNEC on 9 November 2008. On the 22nd Gregorian calendar month of 2011, Prime Minister Sheik Hasina officially launched the building of the university. Educational activities were opened by Nurul Islam, Minister of Education, on the twenty-fourth of January 2012, at a temporary campus next to Barisal Zilla School. The development of the leading campus began in 2012 at Karnakathi on the bank of the Kirtonkhola watercourse in Sadar Upazila, Japan. Oh, Tk. A huge 90-acre university was established on fifty acres of land, including twelve acres of residential land and thirty-eight acres of public land.

In the academic year 2011-2012, about four hundred student units recorded four disciplines in six majors to a lower rank.

The beauty of Barisal University

Barisal University, whose magical beauty can awaken the poetic feeling in you in a moment. Because nature can be enjoyed from so close, perhaps not without seeing this campus up close. If you are a river lover then this campus is for you. The only river in Barisal district is located next to Kirtankhola. Sitting on its banks you can enjoy your river love with satisfaction. When you enjoy its beauty in the late afternoon, maybe Rabindranath can wake up in you too. Beauty that will beat everything. You can sit on its shore and watch the afternoon sunset. You can enjoy the twilight. The best gift you can get sitting in the window is the south wind. Sitting here you can see how the fisherman catches fish.

Then came the innumerable boats, which swept the river one by one. If you want you can travel and enjoy the boat. You don't have to go anywhere else to get around. You will enjoy the beauty of nature while sitting on campus. Again, when nature changes, you can see the six seasons of Bangladesh very closely. Such as the summer wood-burning sun. When it rains, you will be mesmerized by the beautiful weather and the beauty of Kadam flowers. You can enjoy the hard work of the farmer, how the gold is growing in the field, the flood of the rainy river, as well as the beautiful autumn sky. When the autumn catches, you can enjoy the autumn too. When the winter comes again, you can enjoy the feeling of bone-chilling winter. You will see many poor and helpless people, which will hurt your heart. Rebel Nazrul and Sukanta may be born in you for a moment. And there is no talk of spring. When the campus is transformed into a new one. It looks like a new baby has been born in the mother's lap.

Campus

The university campus occupies an associated area of fifty acres. The BU campus is remarkable for its beautiful style and scenic wonders. It is landscaped from around Kirtankhola stream with field areas and plants that make the spheres a natural facility. Facilities involve academic buildings, administrative buildings, auditoriums, libraries, computer centers, labs, research laboratories, residence halls, teaching quarters, mosques, etc. The university has a bank, a canteen, and a large space within its borders.

Transportation

The university operates its frequent bus service to and from the city for the benefit of scholars living there every alternating day. Fridays and weekdays are weekly holidays. Two BRTC busses from Barisal University to and from the city. All kinds of mechanization transport take place between Kaptai and indeed the city. It is said to be the only university in Bangladesh with two rivers flowing on either side. There are two large bridges, which further enhance the beauty of the university. But if we think of the beautiful green campus, then this is one of them. Because the Barisal University district is located in an environment outside the city. As a result, nature can be enjoyed from very close.

N.B: Wherever you go for a tour, do not leave dirt in the vicinity but a specific place. Keep nature clean.
