Early Days: Everyone is not lucky and does not have the courage like Trevor to let go of the traditional lifestyle and follow one's dream. Trevor’s dream was to support himself fulltime and to travel the world by creating street food videos and of course eating. Unlike a lot of dreamers, Trevor got support to follow his dream from family, friends, and his surroundings. A dream does not become reality through magic, it takes sweat, determination, and hard work. That is exactly how Trevor became a successful food vlogger.First Step: In 2014 after graduating from university in Canada, Trevor moved to Chengdu, China mainly becausescrumptious cuisine. During his previous solo backpacking trip around China in 2013, he fell in love with the streets of Chengdu because of the extraordinary vibe that it gives off and to him, it was the happiest and most chill place in China. The Sichuan Dumplings in Chili Oil, incredibly delicious twice-cooked pork noodles, sweet water noodles, and many other spicy and Xiang delicacies all prompted him to move to Chengdu. Like all travellers, he had his fair share of difficulties as well. He dropped out of university twice to pursue his dream and continued to make videos for 2 years without any payoff, yet he did not give up on his dream.
He did part time job such as teaching school kids English, 1 hour $21. After hard work and determination he could save enough money to travel out of China for the first time. He choose Turkey as his next destination. He met his wife Ting in Turkey and from then on she has been part of the Food Ranging production team, helping him film videos and brainstorming ideas. She has been his biggest support and most importantly they both share the same dream. Together they have travelled to several countries including India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Mexico and so many more. His most popular Street Food Tour Video is in Old Delhi, Mumbai, along with his videos in China and Pakistan.
